Description
A fully-loaded vessel for atmospheric discovery.
Building on the legacy of Source Audio's award-winning Collider Delay+Reverb, the Encounter pushes further into otherworldly territory. Where the Collider leaned on classic delay and reverb sounds, Encounter is tuned for immersive, cinematic ambience — six delay engines and six reverb engines that can run individually or combined, turning a simple part into a swirling, celestial soundscape.
Twelve engines, two processors, endless combinations Under the hood are two identical 56-bit signal processors, effectively giving you a high-powered delay pedal and reverb pedal in a single enclosure. Some engines are reimagined favorites pulled from Source Audio's Ventris and Nemesis — refined with new parameters and sonic tweaks — while others are entirely new. Hypersphere is a gravity-defying ambient reverb built from infinite spatial reflections. Kaleidoscope is a cascading, harp-like delay. Shimmers layers dual-pitched shimmer tones for lush harmonic wash. Run any two engines together — dual delay, dual reverb, or delay plus reverb — routed in series, parallel, or split stereo.
Two pedals in one enclosure Dedicated footswitches give you independent control: the left switch handles delay on/off and doubles as tap tempo with selectable subdivisions, while the right switch is reverb on/off and can hold down a Freeze for infinite sustaining pads to play over. A simple toggle assigns the six control knobs to either the delay or reverb side — or locks them entirely to prevent accidental bumps onstage.
Studio-grade signal integrity An analog dry-through path (available with parallel routing) keeps your unprocessed tone completely untouched, while a 100% wet option makes Encounter equally at home in an effects loop. Universal Bypass™ lets you choose between relay-based true bypass and analog buffered bypass depending on your rig.
Deep editing, deeper library Pair Encounter with the free Neuro 3 app (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android) to unlock every parameter, manage presets, and explore Neuro's SoundCheck feature — which lets you preview and build presets using nothing but a phone, before you even own the pedal. Full MIDI support covers Program Change, Continuous Controller, and Clock sync, with 128 presets available and 8 stored onboard.
Whether you're anchoring a set with atmospheric pads or hunting for the next otherworldly texture, Encounter is built to take you there.
